Why we are here

Scale
European tech

The future of European technology is under pressure, and the moment to act is now. That is why five European organisations joined hands to open this Embassy: JOIST, UNKNOWN Group, 28 Digital, ADRA and Urban Life. The European Tech Embassy is the common ground for it, an embassy for tech where policy, business and talent come together to shape Europe's future, and where organisations hold a credible presence at the heart of the EU, closer to the people, the priorities and the opportunities that influence the continent's innovation landscape.

Film generated with AI. It shows how the Embassy is intended to look and work.

Strengthen collaboration

Ventures, corporates, research institutes, investors and member states meet here often enough to turn good intentions into consortia, pilots and contracts.

Increase visibility

An address a few hundred metres from the Parliament, the Council and the Commission, so the people who build European technology are in the room when the decisions are taken.

Turn innovation into market opportunity

Market access, capital and partners so European companies grow in Europe first, and the continent becomes more autonomous and less dependent on technology it does not own.

Every bit
and byte,
European

The Embassy is European by design, including the technology that powers it. From hardware and digital infrastructure to software and platforms, everything in the Embassy is developed and delivered in Europe.

That makes the building itself a living showcase of European technological capability, and the simplest proof of what the Embassy asks of everyone else.

Membership

Five ways to join the European
Tech Embassy in Brussels

One voice starts with being in the room. Every membership gives you the address, the community and access.

Prices exclude 21% Belgian VAT. Pay for a year in advance and you save ten per cent. Private offices, room and event hire beyond your included hours, representation, proposal and project work are quoted separately.

Mission Engine

From a Brussels address
to European action

A membership normally gives you access. The Mission Engine gives you direction. You tell us what you want to achieve in Europe, and the Embassy filters the calls, the events, the delegations and the other members around exactly that.

And because the Embassy is a building as well as a network, when something becomes real we can put the right people in a room here, the same week.

01

Profile

You set out your sectors, technologies, funding interests, markets and partnership objectives.

02

Signals

We scan European calls, events, delegations, policy moments and the member network for what touches them.

03

Match

Our team filters the noise and connects you to what matters, with your consent on every introduction.

04

Mission

When an opportunity is concrete, we convene a working session, a round table or a showcase in the Embassy.

How the Embassy
will look

The Embassy is being fitted out as a working address for European technology, so the gathering has a place to happen.

Arrive → Connect → Discover → Share → Assemble → Work → Meet → Communicate → Retreat

Who stands behind it

The founding partners

One voice needs more than one organisation behind it. The Embassy is carried by five, each putting its people, its network and its name into it, and it is run by its own dedicated team.

An innovation park and European innovation ecosystem based in Larissa, Greece, connecting startups, corporates, researchers and innovation organisations across Europe. Through its close relationship with the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, iED, JOIST brings extensive experience in European programmes, entrepreneurship, innovation and cross-border collaboration to the Embassy.

At UNKNOWN, founders join an ecosystem to go beyond known. The future is UNKNOWN and we believe it needs fixing. We fuel founders to turn the world's greatest challenges into ventures that scale. We are doing that by building Europe's largest impact campus in the heart of The Hague, and by creating the number one university for entrepreneurs, UNKNOWN University of Applied Sciences. We bring our ecosystem to the European Tech Embassy.

Urban Life brings the built environment side of the Embassy, the building itself and the neighbourhood around it, so that the address works as a place people return to rather than a room they book once.

The AI, Data and Robotics Association, based a few streets away on Rue Belliard, is the private side of the European Commission's AI, Data and Robotics partnership under Horizon Europe and the entry point for organisations that want to help shape those fields in Europe.

Formerly EIT Digital, 28DIGITAL is the European network that backs deep tech ventures and trains the people who build them, from its master school to its scale-up programmes. It gives the Embassy reach into innovation communities in every member state.
